Meet Our Instructors
Master Swim Instructor |Instructor Certification Director
Arielle has been involved with Safe N Sound Swimming her entire life. She is the oldest daughter of Scott and Kerrie and currently serves as the Instructor Certification Director.
I have worn many hats at Safe N Sound. As a child I was the "student" for many new instructors being trained. In High School I became an instructor myself. After graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Bio Chemistry I returned to SNS and have worked as a Swim Instructor, Camp Counselor, Trainer, OA Camp Director and now in my newly created role as Instructor Certification Director. In my spare time I also create most of the creatures and artwork you see on the walls of the facility and critters used online.
Hannah is a Swim Instructor and Summer Camp Counselor.
My teaching style is paced and repetative. I make sure the child knows exactly what they are doing and are comfortable with doing it by themselves before moving them to the next level. I push for confident swimming while providing a friendly and fun environment. I was born in California and was surrounded by swimming pools and other bodies of water throughout most of my developmental stages so I basically grew up knowing how to swim. I have always been a water baby and loved being in any kind of water, including playing in the kitchen sink and washing dishes to my parents delight. As for swim instructing, I have been at Safe 'N' Sound for over a year now. All of my favorite memories include my family as I am a very family oriented person. I absolutely loved doing anything arts and crafts related, as well as having pool parties with my family and especially my cousins. As I child, I moved around a lot but enjoyed exploring every new place we lived. I love going speedboating and having fun on the intertube! And I love Curry Chicken.
Master Swim Instructor |Trainer
Ian has been a Swim Instructor at SNS since 2009. Ian is laid back and uses humor to build report. He is a self described fun/focused swim perfectionists.
I’m a flexible guy but mostly a high energy, fun/focused swim perfectionist. I work best as a hands on instructor who also has a deep understanding of the water. I swam competitively as a kid and up through high school. Love swimming for fun and exercise! I love cliff jumping or doing flips off the high dive. I always enjoy getting outside to ride my bike, skateboard, and snowboard. And on a rainy day I play lots of video games on my PlayStation. I’ll eat anything, literally. I think the manatee is the most majestic animal in the sea
Iris is a Swim Instructor. Her teaching style is nurturing, personable, caring and ambitious.
I've worked at Safe N Sound Swimming for around two years now. I did swim team for two years, breaststroke was my speciality! I grew up swimming and I spent almost everyday swimming at the beach in the summer as a little kid! My favorite activity in the water is doing underwater handstands! Outside of the water I love running and playing lacrosse! I love reading, writing, spending time with friends and family, playing lacrosse, drawing, making collages and art!

I learned how to swim when I was really young so I do not actually remember learning how to swim. I started competitively swimming my senior year of high school and swam one high school season and then one summer swim team season. I now use swimming as my primary workout and try and go to the pool 2-3 times a week. I love swimming butterfly and playing water polo.
